Nora “Inez” Gunnels, age 97, of Flower Mound, Texas, was born in Denton county, near Grapevine, February 27, 1918 to Allie and Bertie Beal. Formerly of Abilene, Inez moved to Wichita Falls after the death of her husband, William J. Gunnels in 1987 and then to Flower Mound in 2007 to live with her daughter, Carolyn. She married the love of her life, William John Gunnels, February 11, 1938.
Inez was a woman of strong faith and loved her Lord Jesus Christ. Her family was her world and she loved strongly and unconditionally.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; son, William J. Gunnels, Jr. (2007); sister, Rozella Beal and brother, Zeddie Beal.
Inez is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Hartman and husband, Allen; sister, Vadine Spivey; brothers, Eddie Beal, Roland Beal and wife, Lynette and Freddie Beal and wife, Sylvia; daughter-in-Law, Chris Gunnels Milligan and husband, Don; grandchildren, Rusty Reid and wife, Stephanie, Renee Cue and husband, Tommy, Shannon Johnson and husband, Patrick, Jason Gunnels and wife, Cathy, Charles Gunnels, Corey Gunnels and Clayton Gunnels; 18 great-grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
