She was united in marriage to Mason Talbutt in Albany, Missouri, on October 15, 1941, and to this union one son was born.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Mason Talbutt; and one brother, C.D. "Chick" Barnes.
She is survived by her son, Charles Allen Talbutt and his wife, Mary, of Springfield, Mo.; one sister, Mary Ann Martin of Torrington, Wyo.; two grandchildren, Christy VanAmber and her husband, Aaron, and Misty Hembree and her husband, David; four great-grandchildren, Ashley, Lucas, Abigail and Madison; one niece, Kathy Garner and her husband, Richard, of Lingle, Wyo.; and one nephew, Greg Martin and his wife, Nancy, of Wyo.
Services were held on Saturday, August 26, 2006, in Greenfield Funeral Chapel with Reverend Guy Trower officiating.
A memorial service was also held on Friday, August 25, 2006, in the Waterford Senior Apartment Complex in Springfield, Mo. Memorial contributions may be made to the Byers Avenue United Methodist Church in Joplin, Mo.
