Rites Held for Coy V. Almand, 53
CONCORD-Funeral services for Coy V. Almand, who retired in 1961 after a 20-year U.S. Navy career, were held yesterday in Brentwood. Mr. Almand, of 1712 Greer Ave.; died Monday in a Walnut Creek hospital after a lengthy illness. He was 53. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Mary Wilder Almand, Concord; a daughter, Mrs. Evelyn Martin, Mendocino, Calif.; two sons. James and Everett Almand, both of Concord; two sisters and five brothers in Arkansas and Oklahoma. Yesterday's military rites were held in the Bartheld Chapel, 839 First St., Brentwood.
