George Willard Smith, 73, died July 27, 1995 at the home of his daughter.

Born June 14, 1922 to George S. and Laura B. Smith. Married Eva N. Self in the Salt Lake Temple, March 7, 1947. High Priest in the LDS Church, serving in many positions. Served in the US Marines and the U.S. Navy during World War II. Retired from Kennecott after 31 years service.

Survived by his wife and five daughters, Kathy (Randy) King; LaNae Smith; Cheryl (Doug) Dutson; Marcia (Mike) Winslow; Becky (Mike) Vanikiotis; 20 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Melita Coombs, Las Vegas and Marjorie Baird, Ukiah, Calif.

Funeral services will be Saturday, July 29, 1995 at 12 noon at the Riviera Ward 601 E. Mansfield Ave. (3115 So.) Viewing Friday, July 28, 6:30-7:30 p.m. at Memorial Estates Mortuary, 5850 So. 900 East and one hour prior to services at the church. Burial at Sunset Gardens, 10600 So. 1700 East.
