Obituary
Rose M. Adams, age 72, of Columbia, died peacefully, Saturday, February 21, 2015, at the Susquehanna Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born in Columbia, she was the daughter of the late Joseph B. Westenheffer and the late Ida (Goldsborough) Zink. Rose was the wife of the late Kenneth R. Adams; he died July 6, 2000. She was a nurses aide for several local facilities and earlier in life worked for the former Charles Chips. Rose enjoyed reading, and spending time with family and friends, especially her children and grandchildren.
Rose is survived by her children: Robin wife of Timothy Reisinger of Wrightsville; Richard husband of Cindy Adams of Columbia; Ronald husband of Londa Adams of York County; Randy husband of Ellie Adams of Columbia; Kimberly wife of Edward Bender, Jr. of Columbia; Brian Adams of Columbia; Christopher Adams of Dauphin County, her sisters: Ethel Bradley of Mount Joy; Vicki Pannebacker of York, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother Thomas Westenheffer and her companion Edward Bender, Sr.
A funeral service for Rose will be held Wednesday, February 25, 2015, from the Clyde W. Kraft Funeral Home, Inc., 519 Walnut Street, Columbia, at 11am (Viewing 10-11am) with Reverend Mark Kopp officiating. Private interment will be held in Habecker's Mennonite Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
