She was a pioneer as a female business owner and took great pride in her profession, attending many beautician shows and competitions to stay up-to-date on the latest hairstyles.

She and her husband enjoyed traveling and had a great love for the beach. They were wonderful dancers and were members of the Shaggers Walk of Fame at Ocean Drive North Myrtle Beach.

In her later years, Eva was blessed to be cared for by many wonderful caregivers whom she embraced as family. She had a host of friends, relatives and former customers, all of whom adored her. She was a beautiful lady with a very big heart and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her step-daughter, Pamela Whitener of Hickory, NC and a number of nieces and nephews, including special caregivers; niece, Edna Brown and great-niece, Jennie Connor.
