Nellie Lail Addis, 72, of 3723 Old Georgia Highway, died April 26, 1992, in Upstate Carolina Medical Center.
A native of Cleveland County, N.C., she was the wife of Lawis “L.A.” Albert Addis and daughter of the late Landrum and Pearl Rippy Champion. She was a member of the High Point Baptist Church and was a retired textile worker. She was first married to the late Grady David Lail.
Also surviving are two sons, Ralph David and Roger Dean Lail of Gaffney; three daughters, Rachel Smith, Ruby Crawford and Ruth Hall of Gaffney; three stepsons, Everette, Harold J. and Baxter Addis of Gaffney; a stepdaughter, Bloria Shane Peterson of Los Angeles, Calif.; 16 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 7 to 8 tonight at the Shuford-Hatcher Funeral Home in Gaffney. Services will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday at High Point Baptist Church in Gaffney by the Rev. Clifford Phillips. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
