Charles Lewis Addington, 79, widely known farmer, died at the family home, four miles north of Muncie on Wheeling Road, at 11:25 p.m. Sunday following an illness of several weeks. He was born in Fairfield, Ia., and came to Delaware County in 1909.
Surviving are the widow, Ida; two sons, Harold R. and Orvis Addington, both of Delaware County; seven grandchildren; a great grandchild; and a brother, Theodore Addington of Lynchburg, Va.
At the previous request of Mr. Addington, private funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Wednesday in the Meeks mortuary with Rev. Mark Storey in charge. Cremation will follow the services. Friends are invited to call at the mortuary after 10 a.m. Tuesday.
