Bernice Carolynne Geragosian-Rucker, 72, of Pawleys Island, SC and formerly of Michigan, passed away Monday, October 26, 2015 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born June 3, 1943 in Fort William, Ontario, Canada, daughter of the late Michael Sametz and Stella (Yuzwa) Sametz.

Bernice spent her career as a nurse, caring and nurturing others. She loved culture and the arts and could often be found painting, reading, quilting or gardening. She also enjoyed the time she spent with her book club. Bernice gave of her time and talents volunteering in her community as often as she could. She and her husband were proud members of Precious Blood of Christ Catholic Church in Pawleys Island and she was an avid supporter of the Precious Blood of Christ Women's Club.

Bernice is survived by her loving husband of 13 years, Eric D. Rucker; children, Carolynne Geragosian of Pottstown, PA, Paul Geragosian and wife, Nikki of Saline, MI, Eric Rucker, Jr. of Arlington, VA, Melissa Halonen and husband, Ryan of Durango, CO and daughter-in-law, Dana Geragosian-Olsen of Las Vegas, NV; grandchildren, Cassie, Kelly, Luke, Zach, Gabriella, Stella, Greysen, Archer, Sophie, Raya, Finn, Eleni and Ayden; several nieces and nephews; and many loving friends.

In addition to her parents, Bernice was preceded in death by her husband, David Geragosian; son, Michael Geragosian; and brother, Ernest Sametz.

The family will receive friends from 9:30-11:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 3430 Dover Street, Dexter, MI 48130. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 AM in the sanctuary. Inurnment will follow at the church cemetery.
