Requiem high mass will be sung for Daniel Rooney, father of the Pittsburgh Steeler football club owner, 10 a. m. Saturday in Annunciation Church on Charles Street
Mr. Rooney, 82, died yesterday in Mercy Hospital following an Illness of eight months. A resident of 2514 Perrysville Ave., he came to the United States from Wales at the age of 12. He worked in the district steel mills and once operated a tavern near the old Exposition Park at the Point Surviving are six of his eight children: Arthur J. Rooney, owner of the Steelers; Father Silas Rooney; James and Vincent Rooney; Mrs. Margaret Laughlin, and Mrs. Marie MeGinley. Also surviving are 25 grandchildren. Burial will be In North Catholic Cemetery.
