Dennis L. "Danny" Chandler, Jr., 54, passed away Saturday, October 31, 2015 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico on November 18, 1960.

His first eight years were spent traveling with his Mom and Dad as his Dad worked as a field superintendent for an airfield construction company. Consequently, Danny attended school in Texas, California and North Carolina his first two years of grade school. By then Danny had lived in or visited 42 states. The family eventually settled in Yukon in 1978, which let the boy realize one of his earliest dreams of playing little league baseball and football.

Dennis Chandler, Sr. began his own construction business in 1971 and Danny immediately began spending his summers and weekends working for his father, using hand tools and then operating backhoes and asphalt rollers. While he was attending Yukon High School he was in the Yukon Millers band and by his junior year he had become intensely interested in Rock music and with some of his school friends formed a band, performing publicly. He continued in this endeavor after he graduated in 1979, singing with bands for another ten odd years. All the while he continued with his father in the paving business until Dennis, Sr. retired in 2006. Danny had since worked as field superintendent for other companies until his death.

He was preceded in death by his infant son, Dennis L. Chandler III; and his mother Janetta Chandler.

He is survived by his wife, Tina and daughter, Daphne, of the home; and son, Trevor Chandler of Moore, Oklahoma. Also he leaves his sister, Jana Seebeck and husband David of Piedmont, Oklahoma; his father Dennis Chandler, Sr. of Yukon, Oklahoma; and beloved nephew and niece, Zachary and Emily Seebeck.

Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at the Yanda & Son Funeral Home Chapel, Yukon, OK, with interment following at the Yukon Cemetery.
