28 June 1945 obituary, Thursday, Warren Tribune: August Emil Peterson, 69, Oakfield, died at his residence Wednesday evening at 8:30 due to complications. The deceased was born in Engleholm, Sweden, April 30, 1876, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Peterson. He came to this vicinity as a child and has lived here ever since, working as a farmer.
He is survived by one brother Carl of Kent and several nieces and nephews. The body is at the Lawrence Funeral Home in West Farmington and will be taken from there to the residence Saturday. The funeral will be held at his home Sunday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. A. C. Whitmore in charge of services. Burial will be in the West Farmington Cemetery. Friends may call at the home any time Saturday afternoon.
