She was born on Sept. 16, 1919, in Dotyville, the daughter of John and Elizabeth Benedict Fox.On May 30, 1942, she married Selmer Leu. He preceded her in death in December 1944 while serving in the U.S. Army during World War II, at the Battle of the Bulge.On Sept. 17, 1949, she married Frank V. Junaitis in Dotyville. He preceded her in death on Feb. 26, 1980.
Genevieve worked as a housekeeper for the Sisters of the Holy Nativity for 20 years. She retired in 1988.She was a member of Presentation Parish in North Fond du Lac since 1949. She also volunteered for the Salvation Army and at Loaves and Fishes.
Genevieve enjoyed crocheting and needlepoint, gardening, watching the Milwaukee Braves and later the Brewers, and she was an avid Green Bay Packers fan.
Genevieve is survived by three children, Kenneth (Sharon) Leu, Green Lake, Carol (Roger) Hintz, Eldorado, and Karen (Gary) Theisen, Fond du Lac; six grandchildren, Michael (Chris) Leu, Mark (Carol) Leu, Greg (Heidi) Hintz, Sue (Dominic) Miller, and Emily and Erin Theisen; seven great-grandchildren; siblings, Viola Bohlman, Jerome (Dorothy) Fox, Bernice Evenson, Elmer (Ruth) Fox, and Mary Wagner, all of Fond du Lac; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her two husbands; two sisters, Frances Gremminger and Virginia Hess; and six brothers, William, Sylvester, Lawrence, Gilbert, Benjamin and John.
VISITATION: A time of visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 31, 2011, at the Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 N. Park Ave.
Visitation will continue on Tuesday, Nov. 1, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Presentation Catholic Church in North Fond du Lac.
SERVICES: The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2011, at Presentation Catholic Church in North Fond du Lac.
The Rev. John Simon will serve as Mass celebrant. Entombment will follow at the Chapel of the Risen Christ Mausoleum, Calvary Cemetery.
