Abraham Lincoln Barlow, born 4 August 1865 in Flushing, NY, the son of Henry Barlow and Ann Elizabeth Pettit, was named for the recently assassinated President of the United States, Abraham Lincoln. Mr. Barlow was a farmer who grew flowers (gladiolas) and privet hedges in Jamaica and Floral Park, Long Island. Abraham was known to family and friends as "Linc", or "Uncle Linc". Abraham was the husband of Josephine Richard Reynolds Barlow and Hanford Lester Barlow.
