March 25, 1930 in Napoleon, IN, Leo
was the son of Christian and Ellenor
(Sarringhausen) Fruchtnicht. Leo
joined the United States Army in 1951
and was a veteran of the Korean War.
He was a member of the Holy Trinity
Lutheran Church in Greensburg. He was
also a member of the Rural Couples
Club. Leo was a lifelong farmer. He was
married to Mary M. Hunteman on
October 6, 1951 and she preceded him in death on April 2, 2014. Leo
is survived 3 sons; Kenneth Fruchtnicht, Greensburg, Richard
(Connie) Fruchtnicht, Greensburg, Danny (Joni) Fruchtnicht,
Greensburg, 1 daughter; Ruth (John) Conner, Carmel, 1 sister; Edna
Rouse, Batesville, 6 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren. He
was preceded in death by his parents, wife, brother; Earl Fruchtnicht,
and sister; Ruby Westerman. Visitation will be held at
Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home on Sunday, November 1, 2015
from 1-5:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at Holy Trinity
Lutheran Church in Greensburg on Monday, November 2, 2015 at
10:00 a.m. with Rev. Aaron West officiating. Interment will follow at
St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery in Napoleon. Memorials can be made
to the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Hospice, or to the Richard
Roudebush Veterans Hospital in Indianapolis.
