Lee Jennings Lawson(Jim)was born on February 5, 1928 to Tilden and Phoebe(Murphy) Lawson in Boaz, West Virigina.

He was an MP in the Army in WWII.
On May 2, 1959 He married Velma Jean Hooten. And they remained married until his death on October 2 1984 at the age 56. He worked at several different jobs. He worked for Frigidare in Ohio, Curtis Candy, he drove Semi's for an amusement park company in Iron Mountain, Michigan. He worked as dye setter and pipefitter in Gary, Indiana at the Budd Company for 25 years retiring in 1982.
For 5 years he was the lead guitarist for the Humbleaires Gospel group. He travelled over the midwest singing and telling folks about Jesus.
He died peacefully in his sleep from Arterior Sclerosis.
