Taunton- Christine Frances Allen, a Lee Terrace resident of Taunton for over 20 years, died on Sunday, September 28, 2008 at West Acres Nursing Home in Brockton, after a brief illness. She was 63 years of age.
Christine was born in Boston, daughter of the late Francis Edward and Stella C. (Henderson) Allen. She worked for the town of Sharon as a Jr. bookkeeper for many years and retired in 1989 due to health reasons. She had also worked for the Flatley Company in Braintree, and also the Epsco Company in Westwood.
Christine was a 1985 graduate of Massasoit Community College. She was also a 1988 graduate of Northeastern University in Boston with a Master’s Degree in Computer Science.
Prior to living in Taunton, she lived in Brockton for many years and grew up in New Hampshire. In her spare time Christine enjoyed reading and crocheting.
She leaves several close friends: Diane Tavares of Raynham, Carolyn Foley of Newmarket, N.H., Susan Monier and family of Florida, Carol Cabral of Taunton and Marie Pleudra of Taunton.
Her funeral will be held at the Taunton Funeral Home, 8 Crapo Street. Burial will be at Blue Hill Cemetery in Braintree, Ma.
