Ommie M. Cole
1941-2022
Ommie Mae Cole, 81, of Park Forest, Ill., passed away Wednesday, Oct. 5, at
Franciscan Health Olympia Fields in Illinois. A private memorial will be held at a later
date in Holladay Cemetery. Ommie brought a ring into
the New Year on Jan. 2, 1941, to her proud parents, Zettie Lee Kelly and Andrew George Cole.
She was the fourth born of nine children. Some bring a light so great to the world that the light remains even after they have gone. Ommie was a sweet and kind soul who will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to know and love her. So, with all of our love, until we meet again and share pink sprinkle donuts with coffee In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Arlene Cole, two brothers, J.C. and Clarence "Biggie" Cole, and a sister, Vonnie M. Abbott. She is survived by four sisters, Jeanne Oswald of Camden, Bonnie Stewart, Diane Cole, and Darlene Conley, all
of Sugar Tree, and many nieces and nephews.
