Marjorie Irene Coulam Cannon, our sweet, kind, gentle, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on October 26, 2015 at the age of ninety-eight.

She was born at her home in Salt Lake City on March 21, 1917 to George Franklin Coulam, Sr., and Irene Romney. She had a happy life at home with her older brother, George and sister, Ruth (Meeks).

Mother was a diligent student as she attended the Wm. M. Stewart School on the U of U campus in grades 1-9, East High School, and LDS Business College.

She worked for the YMMIA and then the US Smelting Refining and Mining Company in the Newhouse Building in the accounting department in Salt Lake City.

She was married to Trace Taylor Cannon on March 21, 1941 in the Salt Lake Temple by President David O. McKay. They moved to Ogden and lived there all of their married life.

Mother was one to do her best in all things. She lived a life of kindness, love, and service. Her love for her husband and family and posterity were foremost to her. Mother always had a smile for all she met. She is loved by many.

As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she served as a Primary Worker, President of the Primary and Relief Society, and in many other callings. Both Mother and Dad served as Ordinance workers in the Ogden Utah Temple.

Surviving are her five sons and one daughter, Douglas (Sally Summerill), Kaysville; Mark, Orem; Kathryn (Bruce) Ballard, Murray; Paul (Diana Armstrong), Salt Lake City; John (Da'nell Geddes), Boise, Idaho; and Scott (Emily Lichfield), Bountiful; twenty-nine grandchildren, seventy-one great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
