He was the son of George J. Daily Jr. and Celia Ann E. Clowdus. He married Minnie Blakely. She was the daughter of James Allison Blakely & Martha A Bynum. He married Savannah Wilson 8 DEC 1919 in Blount County, Alabama. She was the daughter of Count Pulaski Wilson and Ida Uretha Jackson.

Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Savannah Daily; four sons, Travis Daily, George Daily, and Brasher Daily, all of Route 2, Oneonta, and Austin Daily of Armstead; four daughters, Mrs. Ora Gilliland of Tennessee; Mrs. Leuvato Moore of Guntersville, Mrs. Bertis Davidson of Guntersville; and Miss Alferrey Daily of Route 2, Oneonta. The funeral was held at Antioch Church
Tuesday afternoon. Rev. Sides and rev. Ellis conducted the services with Robinette of Oneonta, directing.
