Funeral services for Wilma Sylvia Griffin Cobb, 97, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 28, 2015, at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel, West Plains, with Evangelist Gene Bench officiating, under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc., West Plains.

She was born the daughter of the late William (Bill) Griffin and Matilda Jane Duncan Griffin, on November 21, 1917 in Ozark County, Missouri and died October 24, 2015 in West Plains, Missouri.

She was united in marriage to Carl Cobb who preceded her in death.

She is survived by six children, Dwayne Cobb and wife Juanita, West Plains; Vernon Cobb of the home, West Plains; Shirley Cobb, Gainesville, Missouri; Aubrey Cobb and wife Anita, Strafford, Missouri; James Cobb and wife Anna, Republic, Missouri; Jackie Cobb, West Plains; nine grandchildren, Sandra Cobb Roberts and husband Greg, West Plains; Susan Campbell and husband Tim, Gainesville, Missouri; Lila Walker and husband Mike, Ava, Missouri; Kevin Piland and wife Dee, Gainesville, Missouri; David Piland, Tianna, Clarksridge, Arkansas; Steven Cobb and wife Florentine, Scottsdale, Arizona; Johnny Cobb and wife Cheri, Strafford, Missousri; Joanna Cobb Branson, Oran, Missouri, and Aaron Cobb and wife Kayla, West Plains; several great and great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; seven brothers and three sisters; one daughter-in-law, Mary Charlene Cobb, and one grandson, Gregory Dwayne Cobb.

She was a retired school teacher, and a member of the Missouri School Teachers Association. She loved to garden and enjoyed quilting, have made several quilts for her family members. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great great grandmother, and friend to many and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Family visitation will be Wednesday, October 28, 2015 from 10:00 to 1100 a.m. at Carter Funeral Home Chapel, West Plains.

Burial will be in Oak Lawn Cemetery, West Plains, under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc., West Plains.
