AUSTIN - Azile Coffey Freeze Bonneau, 97, died Monday, October 26 at Christopher House in Austin. She was the daughter of James Ross Coffey and Esther Dierlam Coffey. Azile was born in Corpus Christi, Texas, February 10, 1918. She grew up in Austin graduating from Austin High in 1934. At UT, she was a member of Alpha Xi Delta.

A career change took her to Calhoun County where she taught in Seadrift and Port O' Connor schools until her retirement. She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma, an honor society for women educators. In August, Azile returned to Austin to be near her daughters.

She is survived by her daughters Merry Freeze Saegert and Gay Freeze Maguire both of Austin. Grandchildren and great grandchildren Holly Saegert Dunn (Dan), Jackson and Evan of Austin; Josh Saegert (Carolyn), Hondo and Diego of Austin; Jeremy Saegert (K'trinia), Hannah and Abby of Rockport; Emily Saegert Montes (Aaron), Maisy, Aidan and Nate of Nacogdoches; Christopher Maguire (Lindsay) of Austin, Christopher and Lindsay's baby, Jackson, is due in January; Shannon Maguire of Midland. She is also survived by her sister, Patsy Coffey Walker, of Port Lavaca and her family.

The service will be Friday, October 30 at 1 PM at the Capital Memorial Park Mausoleum, 14501 North IH-35 with burial following.
