April 2, 1933 - Oct 27, 2015 Muriel L. Baggett grew up and lived in Castle Heights, AL until moving to Hoover in 2004. She was born April 2, 1933 and passed away on Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at the age of 82. Muriel was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother who was very much loved and will be greatly missed. She always put the needs of her family before her own. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Leonard Baggett; her son, Tommy Baggett and his wife, Dedra; grandchildren, Ashlee Baggett, Megan Baggett, Austin Baggett, and a step-grandaughter, Jennifer Yancey; sisters, Vivian Chatham and Mary Alice Ward; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends. Chapel services will be held on Friday, October 30, 2015 at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel at 2 PM with a visitation beginning at 12 Noon. Interment will follow in Oakwood Memorial Gardens in Gardendale.
