A resident of Whealdon Estates and member of Istrouma Baptist Church, Frances Ackoury, 76, passed away on Friday, September 11, 2015, at OLOL. She was born November 29, 1938, in Rosetta, MS, and raised in West Monroe, LA. She was a retired employee for the State of Louisiana Department of Education/ Finance Division. She was an excellent wife, mother and grandmother and will be missed by her family, friends and loved ones.

She is survived by son, William Marvin Ackoury, Jr. and daughter-in-law Kim Robillard Ackoury of Zachary; son David Ackoury and daughter-in-law Jennifer Franklin Ackoury of Baton Rouge; daughter Kristy Ackoury Quave and son-in-law Randy Quave of Walker; sister Shirley Greer Hale and brother-in-law Johnny Hale of West Monroe; grandchildren Brandi Ackoury, Brandon and Blake Quave, Lauren, Mia and Luke Ackoury, and beloved pet Shocky.

Preceded in death by husband William Marvin Ackoury, Sr.; parents Gordon and Jerry Greer; and brother George Greer.

A memorial service, presided by Rev. Sonny Steed, will be held at Beech Ridge Cemetery in Denham Springs, LA, on Sunday, September 20, 2015, at 2:00 P.M. We love you mom.
