Services was held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Minden with the Rev. John Carrier officiating. Burial was in the Minden Cemetery.

Luella was born April 5, 1923, to John and Imogene (Conyers) Keen in a farmhouse in Gosper County. Throughout her school years she lived in many different places in Nebraska: Elwood, McCook, Perry, Elsie and Enders. After finishing eighth grade, Luella lived in Imperial, Parks, Enders (again), Wauneta and Ogallala where she cooked and cleaned residences, gardened and grew potatoes. In 1946, the Keens moved to Kearney County to the Conyers farm, and she moved back with her parents and worked on the farm.

On June 2, 1946, Luella married Wilferd Albers at the Lutheran parsonage in Lexington. To this marriage three children were born, sons Dennis and Gary and daughter Susan. In 1957, the family became members of Zion Lutheran Church in Upland where Luella, Dennis and Gary were baptized. Luella also taught Sunday school at Zion.

After they spent 43 years on the farm, Luella and Wilferd moved into Minden in 1982. They joined St. Paul Lutheran Church, and Luella loved to quilt with the Ladies Aid. She also enjoyed flowers and gardening, especially strawberries.

Survivors include two sons, Dennis Albers and wife Sharilyn of Minden and Gary Albers of Cozad; daughter, Susan Burge and husband Rod of Nelson; three granddaughters, Shawna Albers, Taresa Jacobsen and husband Mark, and Jamie Hebert and husband Brian; two grandsons; two great-grandsons, Wyatt and Grant Hebert; brother, Herman Leroy Keen and wife Bobbie of Georgia; and sister, Ardyce Nielsen of Kearney.
