Max was a Saint Bernard. He was beautiful, friendly and loved everyone. Max loved to go walking with me in the neighborhood. One day as we were walking, we met up with a loose Rockweil(not sure of spelling). Max stood up to this large dog, determined to protect me from him. I always thought that Max was so humble but he went for the other dog's neck with his mouth. Thank God the owner came along to help seperate them. Needless to say, Max walked off without a second thought (or mark).
He also loved the water. Max had his own swimming pool large enough for him (he weighed 180 lbs.). When walking, we made sure that we did not go close to the canal close to our house because he was running into it and did not come out until he was ready.
Max, you will never be forgotten. You are greatly loved and missed. Love your moma, Debra
