Shelly W. Green, 68, of Somerset, died Sunday at his residence after an illness of several months.
The son of the late Daniel Boone and Maude Joe Jones Green, he was born September 9, 1896, in Laurel County. He was married to Ida McDaniel at London.
Mr. Green was a stave mill operator and a member of the Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, two sons, Lewis Green, California, and Jack Green, Illinois, and two sisters, Mrs. Eva Lee Litton, Atlanta, Ga. and Mrs. Elva Silas, Chattanooga, Tenn.
Funeral services will be held at 10 am tomorrow in the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with the Rev. Davis King officiating. Burial will be in the Dyche Memorial Cemetery at London. Pulaski Funeral Home charge of arrangements. - The Somerset Commonwealth Journal, Tuesday, August 16.
