DEXTER, ALMA "AL", age 92, of Bessemer, AL, died September 1, 2006. He retired after 20 years of service from Jefferson County Automotive Shop Bessemer. Loving Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather and Brother. He was married to Ferol Champion Dexter for 53 years, who preceded him in death. Survivors include son, Ronald (Gail); five grandchildren, Carl Clayton; three great grandchildren; brothers, Jason (Lucille) Dexter of Dora, AL and Van (Sadie) Dexter of Moultrie, GA; sisters, Annie Tanner of Homewood, AL and Mildred Rhodes of Warrior, AL; eight nieces; six nephews. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, September 6, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at Valhalla Funeral Home Chapel, with bruial in Valhalla Cemetery, Midfield. Terry Defoor officiating. Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 5, 2006 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Valhalla Funeral Home directing.
