She worked for many years in the laundry department of Polk Center, from where she retired following more than 16 years of service, enjoyed playing bingo, participating as a member of the Oil City Senior Citizen's Center and just relaxing on her back yard swing, watching nature. She will always be remembered by family and friends as a great cook, was a faithful member of St. Patrick Church in Franklin, where she was a longtime member of the C.D. of A, worked many years in the kitchen, helping to prepare the C.D. of A.'s annual braised steak dinner held at the church.
She is survived by her daughter, Kimberly A. Berlin; by two sons, Kenneth J. Berlin Jr. and Kevin G. Berlin and his companion, Stacy Winger, all of Franklin; and many loving nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Karen M. Berlin; four sisters, Mabel Steiner, Rita Stewart, Florence Deemer and an infant sister Helen Steiner; two brothers, Andrew and George Steiner; and her nephew, Ted Steiner.
A Christian Wake Service will be conducted at the Timothy E. Hartle Funeral Home, 1328 Elk St., Franklin, with Deacon Richard Reed of St. Patrick Church, presiding. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Patrick Church, 949 Liberty St., Franklin, with Monsignor John J. Herbein, pastor officiating. Interment will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery.
