Son of Lynch Prioleau Huger & Emily K. Bailey. Huger was buried in the Bronx. Lynch Huger was the son of Joseph Alston Huger. Sr. buried in Bonaventure cemetery in Savannah, Georgia.

Huger died in Beverly Hospital in Beverly, Massachusetts on Oct 11, 1967. He was descended from Arthur Middleton, a signer of the Declaration of Independence. While attending the Sorbonne in Paris when World War I began, he became a flier in the "Lafayette Flying Corps". He received the Croix de Guerre. After the United States entered the war he saw action as an American Naval flier, with the rank of lieutenant commander. He was a member of the Society of the Cincinnati, General Society of Colonial Wars, Military Order of the World Wars, Military Order of Foreign Wars of the United States and the New York Athletic Club. Huger married three times. His marriages to Mrs. Elizabeth Kress, daughter of the late Claude W. Kress, former president of the S. H. Kress & Company, the chain-store concern, and to Mrs. Margaret Crosby Huger were ended in divorce. Surviving him are his widow, Mrs. Evelyn Fortune Huger; a son, Daniel, Jr., and daughter, Mrs. O. Howard Payne, Jr, by his first marriage, a brother Floyd B. a sister Mrs, Edward Kern, and two grandchildren.
