Lorena Agnes Collins Mitchell, 94, of Lexington, former owner of M&M Bait Store in Lexington, died Thursday, Nov. 8, 2001.
Born in Scott County, she was the daughter of the late Lee S. and Vergie Smith Collins. She was a member of the Revelation Christian Church, Lexington.
Survivors include a son, Gerry C. Mitchell Sr., Lexington; a brother, William Collins, Lexington; six grandchildren, Cindy Root, Robert Mitchell, Greg Mitchell, Donna Cottingham, Deanna Burdett, and Kim Gilbert; and 13 great grandchildren. A grandson, the Rev. Gerry C. Mitchell Jr., is deceased.
Services were conducted Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2001, at the Blackburn & Ward Funeral Home, Versailles, by Chaplain Neal Myers. Interment was at Bluegrass Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Casket bearers were Norman Jennings, Robert Mitchell, Greg Mitchell, Lee Chapman, Kevin Whitaker, and Bobby Dunn.
