Funeral services were conducted today (Thursday) for J. Marvin Cripe, Mulberry route 1, who died at his home Monday night, after an illness of six months. Services were conducted at the Old Order German Baptist church with the Moore & Brown Funeral Home of Rossville in charge of arrangements. The Rev. J. W. Skiles officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery.

Mr. Cripe was a native of Mayville, N. Dak. He was born in 1895, a son of O. C. and Leah Wagoner Cripe. Ten years ago he moved from Cerso Gordo, Ill., to Clinton county. He was a retired farmer.

He was married in 1925 to Dorothy Beeghley, who survives him. Other survivors are two daughters, Evelyn Cripe and Mrs. Margaret Mohler, both of Mulberry route 1; a sister, two brothers, and three grandchildren.
