ARTHUR NOEL NYSTROM Arthur Noel Nystrom, born September 30, 1921, in Savonburg, Kansas, to Carl Arthur Nystrom and Hedvig Marie Johnson, died at home on October 7, 2015. After graduating from Savonburg High School, he enlisted in the Marine Corps and served in" E" Battery, 2nd Marine Division, in Iceland, Guadalcanal, Tinian, Tarawa, Saipan, and New Zealand. He graduated with a BA and a JD from the University of Kansas. He was a member of Sigma Nu Fraternity and Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity. Noel served as a Senior Vice President of Commonwealth Land Title and owned, with his wife, Benson Title, Asbury Title and Total Escrow in Kansas and Missouri. He served as President of the Missouri Land Title Association. He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Curtis (Virginia) Nystrom and Cecil (Mary) Nystrom, and sister Noreen (Joe Raab) (Ken) Hansen. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Patricia Pearson Nystrom, son Arthur (Carol) Noel Nystrom, Jr., daughters Marta (Dave Caputo) Nystrom and Sara Nystrom, grandchildren Brian Nystrom, Christina Murray, Kyle Kolton, Trevor Kolton and great grandchild Jameson Murray as well as many nephews and nieces. The rosary will be held at Rosario Chapel on October 18, at 6:00 PM. Mass will be held on October 19 at 10:30 AM at Rosario Chapel. Burial will take place at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 1:30 PM on October 19. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Cristo Rey Church or to the 2nd Marine Division Association Scholarship Fund.
