Bertha Marie Burgess, age 71, daughter of Clara Mae (Skidmore) and Clabe Sullins, was born Feb 15, 1941 in Kinderpost, MO. She left this earth on Thursday, July 5, 2012, at General Leonard Wood Hospital in Fort Leonard Wood, MO. She married Roy Burgess, and to this union 5 children were born. Bertha was a special woman who was adored by everyone she met. Bertha loved gardening, yard sailing, but mostly spending time with her family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, her loving brothers, Tilden and Narvel, sister-in-law Beulah, and, two infant sisters. She is survived by: her children: Carrie Wallace and husband Tim of Republic, Mo; Marisa Burgess-Suntheimer and husband Bryan of Kaneohe, HI; Roy Burgess Jr. and wife Melissa of Laquey, Mo; Roger Burgess of Lebanon, Mo; Kathy Taylor and husband Mark of Licking; brothers: Dale, Harold and wife Kay, Harvey and wife Carol, Frank and wife Pat; sisters: Zedna Ullom and husband Kenny, Alta Huff and husband Jim, Caroline Huff and husband Bert, May Belle Gale and husband Benji, Geneva Burgdorf and husband Herman, sister-in-law Katy Sullins; 19 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and a slew of nieces and nephews.
