Ross P. Dasno, 93, of Main St. Glen Park passed away Monday morning at Samaritan Keep Home in Watertown.

Ross was born June 28, 1922 in Watertown the son of Ross F. and Blanche Rivers Dasno. He graduated from Watertown High School in 1940 and worked at Bagley & Sewall until entering the Coast Guard January 1943. He served in the Pacific until discharged in 1945.

He married Helen J. Hayes on August 5, 1943 in Watertown. Following the service he worked at Black Clawson as a machinist and later became tool room foreman. He retired in 1983 after 43 years.

Surviving besides his wife are his son and daughter-in-law David and Beverly Dasno of Glen Park. Two grandchildren Keith and Stacy Dasno of Clayton and Jamie Greene of Brownville; four great grandchildren: Dillon Schorr, Kristina Greene, Judson and Natalie Dasno and several nieces and nephews. He has two sisters Leita Dedlow of Willoughby Ohio and Teresa Coppola of Boynton Beach Florida surviving.

He was predeceased by brothers Donald, Walter, Gerald and Richard and sisters Frances Hyde, Evelyn Bremner and Blanche Kramer.

There will be no calling hours or funeral. He will be cremated and buried at New Cedar Grove Cemetery, Chaumont. Donations may be made to the Glen Park Fire Dept.
