Bill was a native of Rosebud and Ballinger, TX. He served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Korea during his two year enlistment.
Bill Lloyd was a retired truck driver, who worked and retired from Sears. He began his career as a young man working for Sears, Roebuck & Co. in the San Angelo store. Bill advanced to the Dallas distribution division in 1968 and lived in Irving, TX with his family. After 34 years of service, upon retirement, Bill & Wanda moved back to the San Angelo area, living first in rural Knickerbocker, TX, then San Angelo in the Christian Village area.
Bill had a unique, personal interest in everyone especially children. He was a volunteer at the Scottish Rite Hospital for children as their popcorn man. Bill & Wanda during their marriage of 61 years were Foster Parents to some 40 children, two young men as close as sons and one adopted daughter.
