Charles Allen Cox was the son of Virgil Crompton Cox and Lillian F. Allen. He was the grandson of Walter William Cox and E. Elizabeth Hardesty Cox.

He married Ethel Elizabeth Hodges on 28 Dec 1946 in Baltimore.

On the 1930 Baltimore Ward 27, Maryland census, I found seed and garden store salesman Virgil C Cox, 44; wife of 19 years Lillian A Cox, 44 and son Charles A Cox, 6. Lillian was born in New York and the rest in Maryland.

On the 1940 Baltimore Ward 27, Maryland census, I found farming implement salesman Virgil C Cox, 54; wife Lillian Cox, 54 and son Charles Cox, 16. Lillian was born in New York and the rest in Maryland.

"CHARLES ALLEN COX; Charles Allen Cox, 70, of Prince Frederick, died May 14, 1994, at home. He is survived by his wife Ethel Hodges Cox; a son Maurice Charles Cox; granddaughter Ashleigh Cox; and cousin Alma Harkness. Funeral services were held May 17, 1994, at Rausch Funeral Home. Interment was at Huntingtown United Methodist Cemetery. The officiating minister was Rev. John O. Hoffman. Active pallbearers were Roger Rawlings, Warren Gott, Thomas Scott, Joseph Williams, Wayne Hardesty, and John H. Brady. Honorary pallbearers were Edwin King, Vernon Horsmon, Doyle Cox, Robert L. Hall, Sr., Kenneth Kidwell, Lester Denton, members of Prince Frederick Volunteer Fire Dept., and other area fire departments.
