A. M. (Bert) Bierly Dies At Age Of 78

Albert M. (Bert) Bierly, 78, Logan Rt. 2, died at 4:50 a.m. today at Hocking Valley Community Hospital. He had been a Marion Twp. trustee since 1961.

He also served as a Hocking County commissioner from 1952 to 1956. He was a member of the Ohio Trustees Association and a member of Izaak Walton League. Self-employed, he was in the lumber business his entire life.

Born Aug. 26, 1889 in Marion Twp., he was a son of the late William and Lydia Stemen Bierly.

Survivors are his wife Cleo; a son William Bierly of Logan Rt. 2 and a grandson William Bierly Jr. He was preceded in death by a daughter Marjorie Ann in 1939 and a sister.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Roberts Funeral Home, with the Rev. D. S. Dunkle officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
