Laura J. Cree, a daughter of Jerome and Martha (Day) Cree, was born on October 10, 1960 at Freemont, CA. At a young age she moved back to Belcourt with her family. She attended school in Belcourt and completed her education at the Quentin Burdick Job Corps., receiving a certificate for secretarial. Laura worked at the Belcourt nursing home, then worked for a short time in Rolette. In 2009 she moved to Bismarck where she has resided since.
She enjoyed reading, playing cards, shaking dice, cooking, classic rock and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by daughters, Twila (Marvin) Cheauma of Bismarck; sons, Virgil Herald Jr., Tyrone Herald and Mickey Poitra Jr. all of Belcourt; 5 grandchildren; brothers, Larry Cree and Byron (Joan) Cree; sisters, Sharon Cree, Kathy Cree, Delcie Cree-Bercier, Kim Day, Pam Longie and Eloise Charotte; and many nieces and nephews.
