MRS. MABEL L. WILHIDE

Mrs. Mabel Long Wilhide, widow of Ernest C. Wilhide Sr., who resided at 12 East 14th St., died very suddenly on Wednesday afternoon at the Frederick Memorial Hospital. She was born near Emmitsburg, on February 28, 1894, a daughter of the late Joseph and Clara Winters Long. Mrs. Wilhide was a member of Grace United Church of Christ, and the Fidellis Sunday School Class, the Samaritan Rebekah Lodge No. 51 (I.O.O.F.), and Harmony Grove Homemakers Club.

Surviving her are four sons, Joseph Charles Wilhide, Jay M. Wilhide, Ernest C. Wilhide Jr., all of Frederick, and Paul Thomas Wilhide, Walkersville; and two daughters, Mrs. Richard Molesworth and Mrs. Sara C. Doody, both of Frederick. Also, surviving is one brother, Grant Long, near Graceham and one sister, Mrs. Walter Hardman, Fairfield, Pa., 13 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the M. R. Etchison and Son Funeral Home, 106 East Church St., on Thursday and Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. from the funeral home. with the Rev. Joseph H. Clem, pastor of Grace United Church of Christ, officiating. Interment will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery.
