Funeral Services will be held at the First Baptist Church in Llano. Graveside service will be held at Harmony Ridge Cemetery in San Saba County.
Richard was the son of Alfred Smith and Rutha (Rankin) Smith. He married Mary Jene Randolph on August 4, 1973 in Nashville, Tennessee and had been a resident of Llano since 1980.
Richard had served during Vietnam with the U.S. Air Force. He had worked for the M.J. Wootan family for many years an enjoyed cooking at Cooper’s BBQ in Llano for years.
He is survived by his wife, Jene Smith, 2 Sons Bradley Smith and his wife Janelle, and Brian Smith of Llano. He is also survived by 2 sisters, Patsy Dawson and husband Ralph, and Peggy Horton; 3 Grandchildren Lane, Weston, and Jordan, as well as many Nieces and Nephews.
Richard is preceded in death by his Parents, 1 Sister Ann Turner and 2 Brothers Jim and John Smith.
