Virginia Joyce Chesnut (Larson) Zahn of Gilbert, Ariz., passed away Jan. 15 in Gilbert.

She was 72. Mrs. Zahn was born in Greeley to Frank and Irene Chesnut.

She graduated from Milliken High School in 1954. She worked for the telephone company in Cortez until transferring to the Greeley office in 1955.

On Jan. 20, 1956, she married Bob Larson in Greeley. They owned B&B Excavating in La Salle. They moved to Bountiful, Utah, and then to Mesa, Ariz. Her husband died in February 1994.

On Nov. 10, 2002, she married Wayne Zahn of Mesa.

Survivors are her husband, Wayne; two daughters, Donna Tuttle (Roy) of Gilbert and Jody Larson of Phoenix; a son, Brian (Teresa) Larson of Arizona City, Ariz.; three stepchildren, Windy (Curtis) McKinney of Chandler, Ariz., Richard (Kathy) Zahn of Tempe, Ariz., and Robert of Washington; five grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sisters, Ruth Uhrich of Fort Collins, Twyla Wertz of Fort Morgan, Lois Ann Onorato (Bob) of Milliken and Nancy (Marvin) Lynch of Encampment, Wyo.; sisters-in-law, Helen Chesnut of Johnstown and Mary Chesnut of Kersey; brother-in-law, Milton Heinsen of Lockwood, Calif.

Preceded in death by: Her first husband; her parents; brothers, Tom, Ed, Vern and Wayne Chesnut; and sisters, Dorothy Chesnut and Barbara Chesnut Heinsen.

Services were Jan. 20 at Resthaven Park Mortuary, Phoenix. Memorials may be given to the Milliken Historical Society, P.O. Box 92, Milliken, CO 80543.
