Ruth Marie Anderson went to heaven, August 13, 2015, after a short illness. Ruth was born to Herman Alex Umglaub and Clara Wilimena Gerlach on June 3, 1920, in California, MO. She married Gene Anderson and settled in Manson, WA, where they raised their four sons: Allen, Alvin, Frank, and Gary. Ruth worked very hard all her life in the orchards, spent time as a textile worker, and then 53 years at Trout Growers as a sorter, until she retired at the age of 85. Ruth loved working in her garden, and spending time with her family and friends. She spent many hours in her summer kitchen canning and making jam. She also was very talented with crocheting and knitting blankets, hats, and mittens. Whatever she made she shared with her family, including quilts. She was a remarkable woman!
Ruth passed away at Central Washington Hospital surrounded by family with much love, including children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Gene, and her youngest son, Gary.
Please feel free to leave the family any thoughts and memories of Ruth at www.prechtrose.com. Services are entrusted to Precht Rose Chapel.
