Born in Salisbury, Pa., he was a son of the late George E. and Marion Harris Walker. He retired from the register of wills office in Baltimore County.
Walker was a member of the Crisfield Elks Lodge 1044, Crisfield Country Club, the Somerset County Democratic Club, the Shore Up! board of directors, Masonic Lodge Jepetha 222 in Essex, Md., the Eastern Shore Shrine Club and the Dundalk Shrine Club and Boumi Temple of which he was a past president.
He is survived by his wife, Elaine H. Walker of Crisfield; two sons, C. Richard Walker of Dundalk, Md. and Frederick J. Walker of Somerset, pa.; two sisters, Arleen North of BelAir, Md. and Bertha Schultz of Laurel, Md.; three brothers, John Walker of Jerome, Pa., James Walker of Belleville, Ill., and William F. of Fayetteville, N.C.; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Stering Funeral Home where a Masonic memorial service will be held at 8 p.m. by the Chesapeake Chapter Masonic Lodge 147 AF&AM, and from noon to 2 p.m. Tuesday at the church.
Contributions may be made in memory of the deceased to the Lower Somerset County Ambulance and Rescue Squad, Crisfield, Md. 21817"
