JANET (LAMPE) JONES, 75, of New Haven, died on Monday, Oct. 21, 2013, at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne. Born in Lafayette, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Verlyn Gick. She was a member of New Haven Navy Club Ship 245 and American Legion Post 330. She retired in 2010 after 52 years as a legal secretary for several area law firms. Janet is survived by her daughter, Linda (Mike) Koeneman of New Haven; sisters, Barbara Smith of Pittsboro and Suzanne Terry of North Ft. Myers, Fla.; grandchildren, Hannah, Sarah and Micah Koeneman; stepdaughters, Jill Jones, Roberta Dzimiela and Paula Hazelton, all of Wisconsin; seven step-grandchildren; and many wonderful nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death her husband, Kenneth Jones, in 2010; and brother, Robert W. Gick. Funeral service is 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, 2013, at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven, with calling one hour prior. The Rev. Michael Blodgett (St. Paul Lutheran Church Gar Creek) officiating. Calling also from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial in Concordia Cemetery Gardens, Fort Wayne. In lieu of flowers, preferred memorials to Central Lutheran School or Navy Club Ship 245 Auxiliary.
