On November 11, 1956 she married Nicholas L. Abler at St. Patrick's Church in Fond du Lac. Evelyn attended St. Peter's Parochial School in St. Peter. She was employed with Infant Socks, Miles Kimball and worked as a machinist for R. B. Royal (Royal Brass) for over 30 years. She was a very nurturing person and adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Evelyn enjoyed spending time with her lady friends.
