Kellee Heller (Black) Brown passed away at her home in Dallas, Tex. on Wednesday, April 28, 2004. She was born on April 30, 1959 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She moved with her family to San Leandro, California, in 1965 and graduated from San Leandro High School in 1977, where she lettered in Track and Field on the shot-put. She was also a member of the International Order of Jobs Daughters. She was trained as an Emergency Medical Technician at Olohne College in Fremont, California, and drove an ambulance. Later, she worked in the office of the Oakland A's baseball team. In 1996, she moved with her husband and children to Claremore, Oklahoma, where she worked as a substitute teacher with the Claremore Public Schools. She had recently moved to Dallas before succumbing to chronic health problems.

She is survived by her two children, Erynn and Jimmy Brown and their father, Alan Brown of Claremore, Oklahoma. She is also survived by her mother, Twila Black Little, and stepfather, Larry Little, of Claremore, Oklahoma; her sister, Sidney "Margot" Black Hildum, of San Francisco; and her brother, James A. Black, Jr., of Albuquerque, New Mexico. Kellee is preceded in death by her father, James A. Black, Sr.; her grandmother, Pearl Forstell; and her step-grandfather, Maynard Forstell.

Cause of death: Possible overdose/suicide
