Mr. James Michael "Mike" Bennett age 58 of Thomaston Ga, died Tuesday October 13, 2015 at Emory University Hospital.

Mr. Bennett was born on June 3, 1957, in Upson County to the late James L. and Birdie Ellington Bennett. He worked for over 13 years with J.M. Clayton Electric, and retired from Quad Graphics with over 23 years. He was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church, IBEW Local 1316, and enjoyed coaching kids baseball, softball and other sports.

He is preceded in death by his son, Nathan Bennett; and sister, Montez Willis. Survivors are his wife, Lou G. Bennett; daughters, Amy (Eric) Miller of The Rock, and Jennifer Green of Atlanta; son, Christopher Michael (Shelli) Bennett of Thomaston; sister, Marilyn (Terrell) Reeves of Thomaston; grandchildren, Sarah Katherine Bennett, and Regan Presley Bennett.

Funeral services for Mr. Bennett will be held on Friday, October 16, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Mountain View Baptist Church, with burial to follow in Southview Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 15, 2015 from 5:00 -7:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested that you become a Organ Donor or make memorial donations to Mountain View Baptist Church, Community Missions, 2569 Jeff Davis Rd, Thomaston GA. 30286.
