Samuel David Adrian was born in Muleshoe, Texas on February 12, 1947, and went to be with the Lord on October 11, 2015. He passed away peacefully at home with his loving family by his side. Sam was a true Cowboy all of his adult life. He worked for Hunt Ranch and Supreme Farms in Roanoke, Gunter and Aubrey, Texas. He had a great love for his family and team roping. He married Carol Ann Bryant on February 28, 1964. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Gunter, Texas. He is survived by his wife Carol Ann Adrian of Prosper, Texas. One daughter: Renee Maples of Gunter, Texas. One son: Scott Adrian and wife Brandy of Post Oak Bend, Texas. Three granddaughters, Brittney Lynch and husband Chris of Frisco, Texas, Laura Walters and husband Kalon of Tioga, Texas and Hutton Adrian of Post Oak Bend, Texas. Four great- grandsons: Kamden and Kolson of Frisco, Texas and Jace and Kasen of Tioga, Texas. Two sisters, Alice Monreal and husband Paul of Kennedale, Texas, Jacqueline Nelson of Lubbock, Texas. Several nieces: nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 15, 2015 at the First Baptist Church in Gunter, Texas. Visitation will be on Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at Scoggins Funeral Home in Van Alstyne, Texas from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. A graveside service will be held on Friday at 11:00 am at the Lockney cemetery in Lockney, Texas. A special thanks to granddaughter Laura for taking such special care of her granddad for the last two years and also the family would like to thank N.T logistics for all the support and understanding in this time. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the First Baptist Church of Gunter or A Plus Hospice. Services are under the direction of Scoggins Funeral Home, 637 W.
