Funeral services for William Hogan "Pop" Ashcraft Sr., 74, of Grady, who died Saturday at Baptist Medical Center at Little Rock, will be at 2 p. m. Tuesday at Landmark Missionary Baptist Church at Gould, with the Rev. Dub Byers officiating. Burial will be in Best Cemetery at Star City by Hale-South Funeral Home.

Born May 29, 1916, at the Ain community, he was a son of the late James Otey and Anna Davis Ashcraft.

A retired construction worker supervisor for the Department of Correction, he was a life-long Grady resident, and a member of Landmark Missionary Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Katherine Hoyt Ashcraft, who died in 1980.

Survivors include four sons, James Hoyt Ashcraft of Star City, W. H. Ashcraft Jr. of Fayetteville, Jerry Wayne Ashcraft of Pine Bluff and Winfred Monroe Ashcraft of Tucker; two daughters, Irma Jean Milhollen of Junction City and Jane Glover of Pine Bluff; a brother, E. V. Ashcraft of Pine Bluff; 19 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 7 to 9 PM tonight at the funeral home.

The family will be at 6903 White Oak Cove, Pine Bluff.

Pallbearers will be Lamar Ashcraft, Donnie Ashcraft, Bobby Smith, Robert Venable, Kenneth Robertson and Dale Keith.
